How to Spot Work Stress

Here are some of the symptoms that work stress can look like for some –
- Anxiety, irritable, depression feelings
- Trouble concentrating
- Fatigue
- Trouble sleeping
- Trouble switching off from work
- Stomach and or digestive problems
- Loss of interest in work
- Increase in alcohol consumption
- The use of drugs to help
- Social withdrawal
They often don’t occur over night; they often build up over time. You may suffer from 1 or more of these symptoms, you may be able to add to the list. Some of these symptoms will spill over into your personal life, irritability may not just be at work, you may find yourself getting irritable with friends and family too.
There also may be more other ailments such as
- Headaches, possibly daily
- Grinding of teeth, known as Bruxism
- Jaw pain (due to the above)
- Loss of focus
- Loss of concentration, which may be anything, not just work related
- Loss of sex drive
- Low mood
